The objectives of CNMM are to enhance the research strength in the fields of nano science, nanotechnology and micro-system as well as the properties of materials in bulk- and nano-scale，and to enhance the research strength in the fields of nano science, nanotechnology and micro-system as well as the properties of materials in bulk- and nano-scale. CNMM has a metallurgical factory for developing the macrocrystalline alloys and four clean rooms for developing the process technology of micro- and nano- electronics. In metallurgical factory area, CNMM establish a physical properties measurement lab for electronic materials, energy-relative materials, and composite materials. CNMM also has a nano measurement laboratory focusing on identifying the (scale) size and application functions of nano-products. In addition to these facilities, CNMM also has different analytic instruments, at several locations of NTHU campus. Besides the above facilities, the center will establish more advanced process equipments and analytic instruments to promote the research works of nanotechnology in NTHU.
